Goals achieved since becoming JP

1 - Instituted mandatory counseling on convictions for drug, alcohol, domestic violence and crimes of violence.                                - 87% compliance

2 - Increase in collection of fines by summoning in those with past due fines and restructurial payments.

3 - Those convicted of DUI pay the $104 cost for the mandatory 24 hours of jail time.

4 - Obtained Board of Supervisors approval in budget for new full-time clerk position to keep up with growth of area.

Judge Joe Knoblock brings to the office


Experience as Justice of Peace appointed by the Cochise County Board of Supervisors on January 1, 2006, selected over eleven other applicants.

23 years as a certified Law Enforcement Officer, retiring December 31, 2005 from the Cochise County Sheriff's Office as a Sergeant-in-Patrol in the Benson office.

3 years experience as United States Marine Corp military policeman.

Joe's education

 

Attended over 140 hours of training since becoming full-time JP.

Graduated from Administration of Courts New Judge Orientation on April 28, 2006

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Arizona

Pima College Honors Graduate with an Associates of Arts Degree in Accounting.

Des Moines Area Community College - Associates of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice.
